JL high five

Jean-Luc at about 3 years old. He and Belle can do this for long after you think they should simply tip right over. If I'd been a little quicker with the camera, you'd see he was really doing a double "high five. " One of these days I'll get it; he always has a particularly goofy expression when he does it. (2000)

bath ears

Kacey with Bath Ears (if you can find them at all!). The thought balloon over her head is not saying nice things. This picture also shows her prematurely grey "pantybladde" mask (panti-bladthe)--and the usually barely discernible brindling in her dark coat. (2/03)

JL on long down

Jean-Luc on a long down on obedience class graduation night (yes, class was held in a church). One of these days I need to experiment and put him in obedience trials, but for now he's just having too much fun in agility. (See the Dane in the background? He regularly blew his long downs by creeping over to his neighbor dog for kisses, especially if it was a cute girl dog.) (1999)

Noodle kacey

There's a reason I call Kacey "Noodle Dog." This is a houseguest's air mattress, co-opted by a dog who knows comfort when she sees it. (1999)

Jag and Kacey

Jag--or Cheysuli's Braveheart came to us in the fall of '98 and rapidly became an indispensible companion to both Kacey and myself. But it was not to be; in one of life's tragic moments, Jag met with a fatal accident. I celebrate his unique sweetness of nature with this small memorial--and with a starring role in A Feral Darkness. (1998)
