About that Leopard Cur...
wet camo

This is Camo the day he was rescued--at a guess, ten months. Yep, he's wet, underweight, wormy, frightened, and definitely not happy--although he's dropped his head to shake off, so it's not quite as bad as it looks. This is the best picture I have to show his unique coloration; unlike a blue merle, his base coat is evenly mixed tan and black. As with many merle dogs, his eyes are a marbled mix of blue and brown. (late '80s)

Camo grown

This is Camo a few months later, glossy and relaxed (and standing on Strider's shadow). He was one of the sweetly special ones, a big dorky lap dog who used an acre of pasture to dash around in when he got a case of happy dash-tail, simply because he was too clunky to turn any more tightly. (late '80s)

Kacey's moose

Kacey is Queen of the Squeaky Toys, even the ones that are bigger than she is. Jean-Luc is wise to be wary. (2002)

This is the photo of Jean-Luc and Kacey that won second place in the portrait category at the '99 Cardigan National Specialty. You can click here to see a bigger version. (1999)
