Agility Trial Photos
Fiesta Cluster, Phoenix, March '03 (AKC) Phoenix was in the throes of a winter storm, and we all felt lucky that we weren't running in mud. Photographers at the scene of this huge show caught my guys in action, commemorating a wonderful weekend: Belle took six straight first place qualifying runs to earn both her AKC Open Standard and Novice Jumpers (Preferred classes); Jean-Luc took second place for three straight qualifying runs and earned his Novice Jumpers Preferred. As you can see from the pictures, they were both having a grand time--and that's the most important thing.
Belle zooooooooooooms from the tunnel in an Open Standard run. All she needs in this picture is a cape and a theme song.
"Here I come to save the daaayy!" (photographer unknown)
This picture is...amazing. Mentioned here and there on this site is the fact that Jean-Luc's early brain injury severely affected his ability to interact with the world. A year ago at his first trial, he shut down completely and was unable to even attempt the course. Now here he is running with glee. I have a larger version of this picture--taken by Kathleen Schaffer of PhotoReflect.com--and treasure it.
