Belle's Comeback and Connery's First Trial
It's been a while between trials, as Connery learned the ropes (and grew up) and Belle rehabbed from her non-agility injury of last early winter. Jean-Luc earned out his AKC Open Preferred Jumpers in March, and at this trial Belle finished her AKC Excellent Preferred Jumpers title. But here's what we've been waiting for: photos of That Beagle at his first agility outing.
Here he is the night before, tense from excitement.
And the very first obstacle is his nemesis, the tire. After several attempts, he finally commits to jumping through it. I'm clearly now planning to launch myself into the air like Superman and direct Connery from above. 
And he comes down to hit a perfect little contact "spot" on the A-Frame 
He missed that jump and had to come around again, so I obviously needed a scolding. (The close spectators in the background came as a complete surprise to him.) Of course I'm clapping--it's got to be FUN above all else!
